Thank you for visiting the Savannah Fire & Emergency Services web site. We truly are proud of our accomplishments and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our department.

SF&ES is a progressive, future-focused organization comprised of 300 professional, fully-trained, career firefighters. We operate 15 fire stations that are strategically located throughout the City of Savannah to ensure a quick response to the needs of our citizens and visitors. There is the clear possibility of expanding our infrastructure by adding at least an additional five stations – with additional personnel and apparatus – in the near future. We also staff and provide additional Logistics services which include the Office of the Fire Marshall, Fire Investigations, Public Information & Education, Training, Facilities, Supply, Fleet and other support functions.

Chief Middleton has been Chief of Savannah Fire & Emergency Services since August 2006. He is a Savannah native with 35 years of fire service experience, having previously served in Arlington County, Virginia and Orange County, Florida.
